how do remove a Hoda 450 foreman front differential

Default how do remove a Hoda 450 foreman front differential

the front differentil is loked up so im replacing it with a new one but i cant the darn thing out. i know there a way.

Default how do remove a Hoda 450 foreman front differential

You just remove the 3 mount bolts and the front mount .. Slide it all the way forward and remove the drive shaft you may have to use a large screwdriver/prybar to compress the drive shaft spring a little ...

ok thankx ill try it-cause ive removed the three mount bolts but couldn,t get it out the chasis. waz wondering if i might have to slide the engine back?!

you dont have to move the engine, the drive shaft can be compressed a ways. like hondamechanic said, just move the front diff forward

if all else fails remove the frame a arm bolts from one side ( i did the left side on my 300 fw)..this will give you more room to pop out the cv shafts there held in with a ring that makes them snap in and out ..you may need a prying device here as well or juist a good ******,to remove the cv shafts
