I have been working on by 05 brute with carb probs I have finally got it to run good but it now is running real rich, gassy smell from the exhaust and even a little greyish smoke, I have had the carbs off twice now to clean them and to make sure the choke plungers were working ok, I have now got the power back but don't like the way it runs so rich, is there adjustments for this, the only screws i see are on the right side of the carbs but they won't turn, Thanks for any advice

 

if its runnig rich at idol, it could be your pilot jet. pilot jet is located outside the bowl twords the engine, its a small brass skrew. if ita a khein carb skrew the pilot IN 1/4 turn at a time until its no longer runs rich.
