Default Pure Polaris front brushguard

I purchased a used pure Polaris front brush guard (pn 2875599 so I was told) and it will not mount to my 07 500. The mounting arms are wider apart then the frame of my wheeler. Did I get the wrong brushguard or are there other brackets. The rear brushguard that I purchased from the same guy mounted just fine.

According to the Pure Polaris website, it looks like the part number is 2875173.

Here's the link... I would check it out for yourself... just to be sure.

Polaris Brushguard

Actually, I looked up that number you posted, and it's the Body Guard Brushguard, and it should fit??????????

Like DCT said,If that part number is right it should fit. It will look like this:

I Haven't looked at the Bodyguard closely in person. Is it possible it should have some spacers with it??

I'm not sure which gaurd you got but I installed a Polaris gaurd on mine and the directions showed to "flip" the bracketes for the 700/800 machines, making it wider. So if it's like mine you should be able to flip the brackets to make it fit your 500.
My gaurd is NOT the "bodygaurd" it's the regular black wrinkle finish...hope this helps.

Yea, looks like there is a spacer or something there between the mounting bracket and the body.

The one in the picture is the same as mine but it is wider then the frame. Does anyone know if there is in fact a spacer? Thanks for the help

did you check the advise given by hddoperator?

try flipping the mounts to see if it narrows it up.

As I said in my last post, if you look carefully at that picture, there looks to be a silver or chrome spacer between the body and the mounting bracket. However, it could be part of the bracket, and as also mentioned here, you may need to flip the bracket or something.
