CAUTION.... FRONT ADC FLUID
#1
Just ran into a problem with the ADC on a 2007 Sportsman..The dealer had put the wrong fluid in the front gearcase...there are three different fluids...2876251 (DEMAND DRIVE LT PREMIUM FLUID) for front gearcase...2876144 (ACTIVE DECENT CONTROL'ADC' FLUID ) to fill the reservoir under the rubber cover in the front storage box and 2871654 (DEMAND DRIVE FLUID) for the front gearcase without ADC...The front gearcase was filled with the fluid that goes into the reservior..Flushed the system and it seems to be fine now..Was grinding terrible with the wrong fluid..sounded like metal grinding...

This is why I like to do my own maintenance whenever possible. My dealer is a good guy. However, he was going to sell me the wrong fluid for the front diff on my 500 HO (Demand Drive Fluid). I told him the manual called for the "LT". He check with his mechanic, and sure enough... it was the LT.
