Last night I found my throttle adjuster was lose on my 2007 500 efi.
I adjusted it and tighted the lock nut ,checking the idle rpms at 1180.
I stoped the engine and started it several times and "jiggled" around the cable after I was done adjusting it .All seemed well.Before work this am I started the machine ,it idled up to around 1280 for awhile then as it warmed back to 1180.

I took the machine out this evening and after a short ride the idle rpms went low to about 900 the thing would barely stay running.
I came back to the garage ,tore off the seat and panels and started to jiggle around the wire harrness and any of the connectors to the fuel system components with no notice of any change of the low rpm.

Where should I look next?

Could this be a tight valve clearance problem?
