96 xplorer 400 regulator/rectifier

Default 96 xplorer 400 regulator/rectifier

ok so i ordered a reg/rect for my 96 xplorer 400 of of the net and when i got it it doesnt look like mine[assuming mine is located behind the oil tank below the top headlight mounted on the left side with a white,black,and green wire coming out of it, and a brown wire through a mounting screw] and my new regulator instrutions dont match so please anyone with any wiring knowledge for this machine

Thats your reverse limiter, the regulator will have a blac, red, and yellow wires running to it. Your regulator should be up by the radiator on the left side.

do i have to pull the oil tank or the front fenders to get to it

No. Pull the front rack and cover and look down behind the radiator at the top. It should be bolted right there.

ya i found it if like a real dumbass now, thanks a bunch to everyone that helped on here
