i have a 99 breeze with a new starter new carb new battery. it wont crank, unless i put my battery charger on it and set it to 40 amps to crank it. when it runs it runs great. i'm not sure what the compression should be. when i did a comp. check it would go to 50 and drop as i hit the start button sometimes it would hit maybe 20 or 30 then drop to 0 compression as i hold the start button downgrants

 

so by that u mean the enigne will turn over but not start up? or it wont turn over at all?

 

it will turn over but it wont start unless i kick the batt. charger to 40 amp.

 

Have you checked all the cables and connections?

Also it sounds like you have a problem with the foot valve on your compression tester. It should never drop unless you have a bad foot valve or don't have on on the tester at all.

 

yes i checked all conn. they are good. i'm gonna check my guage
