Leaking dif fluid

Greetings all new to the forum and to polaris just purcheset my 08 800 touring so far i am impressed to say the least great power control and ride solo or 2-up now for the bad newes 130 miles and 9 hours on the clock while playing the other day i noticed fluid leaking from the front diff where the drive shaft goes in i have followed break-in procedure and hope this i not a common occurance any comments would be welcomed Bob B

The input seal on my X2 started leaking a few months ago with about 600 miles on it.Dealer fixed it under warranty and have since put another 600 miles on it with no trouble.I hope yours is still under warranty because that seal is about a $100.There is also an updated seal to replace the ones that first came out on the ADC equipped models.

Yes it is still under warranty + i bought 5 year extend service warranty for 1000.00 extra I would just as soon not have to use however good to have the extra peace of mind well worth the price

If you trust the mechanics at the dealership then let them do it. Otherwise you can look at the write up in the below thread and do it yourself. Personally I will never take anything; car, motorcycyle, ATV, snowmobile, to a dealer if I can do the job myself.
