Default Tips to remove front driveshafts?

I have a '97 Xpolorer and would like to remove the front eccentric. Both shafts need to be removed however, I cannot tap the roll pins out - won't budge. With the limited angles that you can position the punch at it is hard to strike it with any kind of force.

Any tips?

I found the best way to do this is from the front of the machine, line the roll pins up horizontally and come at through one of the holes in the frame. On the left side the front eccentric pinch bolt is in the way and needs to be removed. Use a punch the exact size of the roll pin, a heavy hammer and a lot of force.
