Default Silver bolts on rack extenders

I just installed the front and rear rack extender on the xp. Does anyone know why they do not give you black colored bolts for the install instead of the silver one's? It was that way on my 07 800 also. I think the bolts stick out like a sore thumb!!! Would it hurt anything if I use permanent black marker and color them up?

Black marker couldnt hurt anything. I would take a brush and paint them instead, if you have a can of spray paint just spray some in the cap and then brush it on. The painted black bolts they give you with the rear bumper were garbage. They rusted very quickly so I replaced them with stainless steel bolts and just painted them. They deffinately hold up better than the junky painted ones polaris sends you!

you know, they do that on purpose so they can save 10 cents! it is rediculouse! why can't they just put the extra money into and rais the dang thing $1 and sell the kits with stainless hardware? i wouldn't mind paying the extra for stainless hardware! That could be a good advertising advantage too! i know it would make me look into that kit!
Just buy ya a can of good ole' rustoleum paint!
