Raptor Airbox Lid / Reverse switch
#1
I've read about a few of you who have removed your airbox lid. How did you guys keep your filter in place? On a side note, has anyone else borken there Reverse switch. The plastic piece holding onto the frame broke, tried to JB Weld it, wouldn't hold. Dealer wants $50 for a new one. Still works so I will run with it broken off. Have fun riding!

Most of us that are running without the filter lid are doing so via the use of a Pro Design filter kit that allows you to clamp thier filter directly to thier own bracket. As far as making the stock filter stay in without the lid, i have heard of a few people putting screws in it, but i personaly have no experience with that procedure

The lower part of the filter is still held in place by the airbox. I used two screws(one on each side) to hold the top of the filter in place. Seems to work just fine. I am going out riding by White Tanks this Sunday if you'd like to go.

Where exactly do you ride by the White Tanks? How do you get there? What type of riding is there? I usually ride Four Peaks, Casa Grande, and of course Glamis. I might be able to make it this Sunday if we don't go to the dunes.
Thx

It's just off Bell Rd. Right around 120th. ave. If you want to go, let me know and we'll set up a meeting place. I also have plans to go to Glamis next weekend. I'm not real sure of the riding conditions. It'll be my first time out there. I'm going out with a couple of buddies. I'll try to get some more info from them.
