If anyone has any insight it would be appreciated... on 04 scrambler 500 the front wheels will not engage in forward but hook right up in reverse (with selector switch in 4wd position)... I recently bought this atv so do not know a lot of history on it... the only other thing I have noticed is that the button for reverse override is either by passed or stuck for it is not necessary to use it to get full power in reverse.... Could this have anything to do with it??? Thanks in advance for any suggestions

 

i think the power for the front hubs go through the gear selector switch....

 

surely someone has had similar problem on a polaris... Dont they all use same basic design on their all wheel drive systems??

 

Well, I don't know a lot about this stuff (yet [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] ), but, from what I've read, control of the AWD is in the gear selector, the AWD switch, and runs through the reverse override switch. Those three areas are where I would start to look.

try unpluging the black wire on the rev limiter box. those boxes cause some wierd problems when they try to go out.
