Default Ranger 700 Throttle sticks when cold

I have an 06 EFI Ranger 700 6x6. I am having a problem when it's real cold.... I start it and it is fine, then I go to give it gas and it wont accelerate. then all of a sudden i will give it gas and the throttle sticks. could water have gotten into the throttle cable some how? I just got this machine and it's the second time this has happened. Both on cold days. Last time I put a bullet heater next to the unit and it finally started working. I am not even sure that's what cured it. I am really dissapointed with this thing right now. When I first brought it home I washed it after I drove through some icy water by a river by my house. The water was only about 7 or 8 inces deep. Does anyone have any suggestions....

Thanks
Greg

Get it warm and lube it thoroughly with a lube that displaces moisture, use enough to flush out the moisture..

Yes the cable, lol. Sorry. Every modle machine is a little different, but get access to the end of the cable sheath and spray it in the sheath. There are some lubes specifically for cables that have small metal tubes, almost like a long needle. In any case you have to get access to the opening where the cable goes into the sheath.

Good luck.
