Hello all, I have a 350 warrior and am having a problem. I have searched the internet but cant seem to find an answer.

Orignal Problem:
When I bought this atv (my first one) it wouldn't start. So I rebuilt the Carb and got it running. Then it would only idle and would die when I gave it throttle. So I changed the Spark plug and air filter and oil then it would run but could only get about 75% throttle. If I pushed the throttle wide open it would bog down. I thought maybe to much air or possibly incorrect fuel air mixture.

I am a weekend mechanic I can fix just about anything, but I dont always know the terminology. I am still unclear which jet is called what. And though I have asked several times, my buddies who are mechanics, they say it needs to be jetted but cant tell me what that meens.

the jets are little cooper like cylinder like things in the carb.i think when you jet it it will give you more or less fuel you just have to pick the right jets to put in.when you buy the jet kit it comes with a lot of them.

 

The Warrior has 2 jets, a pilot jet and a main jet. The engine uses the pilot jet from idle - 1/4 throttle. The main jet kicks in at 1/4 throttle to wide open.

If you have a stock air filter, air filter box, and exhaust you should use the stock jets and do not need to "rejet". Rejetting is installing larger jets to get more fuel/air to the engine. If you have a stock setup your problem could be the carb settings, like the needle clip position is wrong or the air filter screw is set wrong (needs 2.5 turns out). One more thing to check for is old gas, and the Warrior has an accelerator pump built into the carb that could be messed up.
