i own a 2001 rubicon and i change the transmission last week and the cracnk shaft and the piston &ring so a complete jobs i also change the angle sensor butit refuse to back it flash and spark in reverse!!!!!!!
the mecanic do the initial setting without succes....... we order 2 new angle sensor with no succes........ so i read on the forum and i found when i holr the up and down button and turn the key on it flash 5 time.......
with one angle sensor it run in second gear and as soon as i push the up button for the 5 gear its start blink and the reverse was ok and if i do all the **** at the same place just put it on drive positon 1 go 1 2 3 4 5 and downshift 5 3 2 1 so ...
with the other angle sensor its go very well on all position forward but at the moment i hit the reverse its start blinking....
i am so cunfused 3400$ spend and not working so can u help me please?

Your post is a little hard to follow ...

Did you pre-load the angle sensor ..?.. Code #5 is "motor lock" you will have to remove the shift control motor and try turning the reduction gear with your finger .. If it won't turn then it's probably jammed and will have to be broke free with a screwdriver ..

my neutral flash 5 time yes
but i put the angle sensor with only one bolt and everything is fine at the mopment i put the second bolt the reverse start flashing and he refuse to back off.... and if i try another angle sensor 2 same brand new sensor with this one it work very well in reverse but when i hit the drive position it wont shift until 5 he start to flash at 5 gear and i have to stop and put the key off and then on and restart the engine everything come to normal.... if i make it shirt without runing i go like this 1 2 3 4 5 and downshift from 5 to 3 2 1 ........ iif i run with this angle sensor at the moment he is on the load at the 5 gear it start flashing.....

 

i forget to tell you that we chewck the motor and he was not lock he is free we turn the small gear inside and everything is free
so there is no lock there.........????

 

now today the only fonction that work was the low gear on the esp mode
he wont shift on the high gear
he stay on the first gear
i only see the number 1 2 3 4 5 on low gear on high it display d1
d2
esp
but they dont flash
he refuse to reverse but he dont flash too
