I have a Terrapro that I'm having a problem with the "high" range. When I try to put it in high range the engine stalls. I know it is a safe gaurd for when mower is attached to keep the high range from working. But I have the mower off. The rear differential has to locked in order for it to work in high range. There is a switch some where and this may be bad but I can't find it. Has anyone has this problem??? And where is that switch?? Thanks

 

Older post I know but am having the same issue...have checked all fail safes and the are functioning correctly...relays also ok...anyone know where all the fail safe switches are...I may be missing 1.

OK, resolved...mechanic friend of mine found a bad switch directly off the transmission. Part is discontinued. He had to bypass the safety...which means that will go into high range with PTO engaged but all other safety features are intact.

I'm having a similar problem with the engine stalling on low and high gears when the pto is hooked up. I think it's the safety switch you mention that's causing it. You mention it's directly off the transmission.. What does it look like and how did you bypass it? do you have a photo or sketch of what you did? Many thanks for a response.
