wow, I guees the term self inflicted wound would be an understatement, after reading some posts on polaris 4x4, light and speedo problems, I wish I would have found this forum before now. I have a polaris 425 expedition, 2001 my wife has a honda 250, to make a long story short she needed a battery one weekend and I gave her mine cuz I new I could pull start mine and would not need to make a trip to town, would have been a pretty cheap trip to town. Lights ,all blown....... 4x4,doesn't work...........speedo, smoked glass on the inside........oops. My question to anybody that can help, a new speedo is $309 but htere are many on ebay selling for less than $100 new that look identicle but have different part numbers is there any way to tell if these parts are interchangable, some of the listings are for complete kits so they would include the correct pickup for the speedo and can be bought for $60 any insight would be appreciated, thanks
