04 Grizzly 660 throttle problems
#1
Every time I turn my handle bars left my Grizzly throttles by itself, I guess the throttle cable is to short or something. It will also do if it I push or pull the throttle cable on the handlebars. I found a few things on it when I searched but no fixes or anything. This is getting to be pretty dangerous to many, What will fix it? THanks -TJay

Did you just get the atv or did you have it for awhile and then it just started happening?
I would first check the free play at the thumb throttle and see if it's adjusted properly. There should be about 1/8" play.
Then turn the handle bars and see if the cable is being pulled at the carb end or the thumb throttle end. From this you can see where the cable may be binding on something. You may have to remove the cover that covers the throttle linkage at the thumb throttle.
There is also another adjustment on the throttle cable that's close to the carb end of the cable that you may be able to lengthen abit.

I adjusted it and made it a little better. But just at the thumb. I bought the ATV and it always have done it since then. The guy i bought it from was the first owner and said it has done it for as long as he can remember. I'll try taking the thumb cover off and see whats under there and also at the carb.

My TTR did the same thing. what happened is the throttle cable sheathing wore trough where it rubs on the frame. Then every time you turn, the cable kinks and pulls. Sometimes it'll stick like that and then you have a Redneck Cruise Control. So check the cable over to make sure its in good shape
