ds650 oil breather

Default ds650 oil breather

I been hearing that the 2000 ds 650 was having oil breather problems just wanted to get some quick info?

Default ds650 oil breather

First you have to figure out if your bike has the self priming oil line or not. Look at the metal fitting that the main oil line from the tank attaches to (it is right above the clutch cover). If it has another small fitting tapped into it with a small hose going back to the oil tank, you have the self priming. If it doesn't you don't. If you don't, you likely have to self prime the system when doing an oil change, by loosening the large screw behind the oil filter. Is this what you are referring to when you say "oil breather problems".
