Default hmf optimizer?

What is the easiest way to plug this in on the 850 do you need to take off both side panels or just one side? and do the plugs for the injecters only go in one way or could they possibly be pluged in wrong. Thanks for any help ahead of time i want to do this later today and i wont have much time.the directions arent very clear.

Pull the left panel off. The injectors are right behind the wire bundle that runs down the frame. The connecotrs can't be put on wrong but you could possible cross the cylinders. It doesn't matter which Optimizer connector goes to what injector, all that matters is that the stock harness connector is on the Optimizer pigtail that goes to the cyclinder that it came from. All the Optimizer does is modify the injector signal...Make sense?

BTW I have since moved mine to under the pod ontop of the hump,so I can easily get to it..only problem is the pod will slightly rub the face of the optimizer with the handle bars turned fully to the left or right..hasn't cuased a problem yet though because it won't change settings unless you enter a mode. I'll probably end up moving it again..but for now it is convienent.

Ok,cool. Let me know if you have any more questions.
Today I removed the velcro and put on some 2 sided trim tape(thinner) and adjusted the pod a little and I'm going to leave it where I have it under the back of the pod on the hump(just forward of where the gas cap was on older modles)
The pod will slightly rub it if you hit the steering stops hard...but not enough to cause a prob. It's out of the way but I can still easily see it and adjust it if need be.
