well I have one like that, and made another piece of steel, that goes under the nut, that way I have a ball and a pin
You could buy one without a ba,, but you have to watch, especial with the new Resse ones, they have an octagon indent, so you don't need to wrenches to tighten the ball down that inden't might interfere with the kitch pin setup
