I have a 98 Banshee and am new to quads (have raced mx and ridden dirtbikes all my life). I just picked up this banshee with a seemingly simple problem (the owner thought it needed reeds). The reeds r fine but when u start it it won't get any rpm's, just loads up and bogs down, sometimes backfiring out of one of the catbs. any ideas? ive seen posts re parking brake switches but see nothing electric in the park brake mechanism.

 

have you replaced the spark plugs cuz they might be fowled and causing it to bog it happens with 2 stroke if they get loaded up and burns the plugs out

 

Have put fresh plugs in twice. they get loaded up and foul out in a few minutes. someone said something about the park brake switch limiting rpm but i cant find an actual switch, just the cable.
