Polaris ATV Track System

I came across this post and thought I'd share it. Not sure if this link will work, but here is a craigslist.com listing under Medford, Oregon for a new track system for 2005-06 sportsmans. New ones for us are running $3,500 from the dealer, so sounds like quite a deal for anyone that might be looking for one.

Excellent price. This model will only lose 20% tp speed.

Excellent deal. I've got a nephew who's been running these for 3 years and hasn't had any problems whatsoever. You'll need a mounting kit that runs about $400.00 if they don't have one to go with it. You can also put these on any newer sportsman; you just need the kit to mount them for that specific machine.

If I hadn't just bought a set as well as the 700 x2 I'd be burning up the phone lines.

Yeah, I almost bought a new set at the beginning of the winter, but when I went to the dealer to order them they said the price went up like $500! I was so surprised I didn't know what to make of it and left. Now, I'm glad I didn't buy them as we have had very little snow here in southern oregon. All my snowmobiling friends are pissed and I'm not helping by rubbing it in that I've ridden my atv's more this winter than they have ridden their sleds! LMAO!

The thing to think about though is if you do want to head into the mtns all you gotta do is load up and go. The prospector tracks will do fine on dirt as well as snow. Polaris has also come out with a up grade for these if you're riding in alot of mud. The upgrade consists of some washers that go on the bogey wheels to help keep the mud out of the bearings, but my nephews' been running these year round for 3 years without the upgrade and hasn't seen a problem yet.
