I have a2007 sportsman 800 3800 miles started going thru quart of oil every 100 miles. has not lost any power or does it smoke or smell like oil no leaks that I can see. I do have oil in air box but not a large amount. Has any one had this problem

 

Wow, that doe's not sound good. Maybe a cracked piston ring, not a mechanic but maybe small enough to not notice now but will get worse. I have an 07 800, only 1100 mile's so far so good. How much oil in airbox, enough you have to drain or just hit with a cloth?

 

Just enough to wipe out with cloth. But I have noticed if it is running with lid off of air box the hose that comes from valve cover is blowing out a lot of air
