I am thinking about buying a 2001 polaris sportsman 500 but I was told the 4wd won't engage and the axle is making a noise. he said besides these problems it runs great. Can anyone give me some advice on how serious this is?And some solutions. I have done soem research and they seem like good wheelers but I don't want to get stuck with a dud.

 

as far as the axel making noise ti could be just the cv joint but the 4x4 i dont know
