well, i think my ecm is acting up!Everything else is working but the charging system.do any of you know if i can add a separate rectifier/regulator and by pass the ecm to charge the batt on a 05 sportsman 500?i found a wire up by the ecm that goes into the loom, it varies in volts with the rpm, i think its the charging wire.
if it worked till i get the new ecm.

imo you can not by pass or put another bwside this one as the ecm does alot more then just help w/ the charging system on these newer bikes. i wouldnt even chance it of fear of doing more damage. imo.
