Default trx250x, any good?

im looking at buying a 1987 250x. iv heard from many people they are good old mechines, and many people getting up-in-arms over honda changeing there current line up to 250x's.

they are kick start only, correct? good points? bad points?

Oh what I would'nt give for good 250x.They are awesome little quads.The one down side is the transmisions are sort of fragile it's easy to bend forks and such.Besides that,with basic maintence they will last forever.

I've heard that about the tranny's too but have never had a problem with mine. I don't baby it but I don't beat it either. Mine is one of the nicest I've ever seen. I'd post a pic if I knew how.

i have one and it runs great everytime and starts up first kick, as far as tranni probs i have never had a problem, i jus rebuilt mine, with new piston, cam, rocker arms, and it runs like i jus bought it new yesterday, if u take care of it, it will take care of you
