Default Warn or Champion winch?

I have a Warn 2500 ci winch and a Champion 2000lb winch.
The Warn had some health issues that have been resolved.
The Champion is now on my machine, which is an Outlander 800.
Which winch is better?
I want to put the Warn back on the machine just because of the name.
Are Champion winches any good?
Thanks!

If it work it works just leave the campion on. I would just keep one or the other as a spare.

My warn 2500 ci just stopped working also, how did you fix yours?

Can't say I've ever heard of champion winches.

Took it apart and started looking around. There is a plastic bushing on each end of the drum. The cable got between the drum and the housing and chewed the bushing up. There was a piece of the bushing lodged between a set of the planetary gears. Cleaned it up and it works well now. Warn also gave me new bushings for free.

If I were you, I would take it apart and try the motor with a 12V power source. If the motor works in both directions it is worth fixing. If the motor is toast, maybe not. The motor is $150.00
