I put a pure polaris slip on pipe on my 500 sportsman( athe pipe is for an 800) will this harm my engine or valve train or anything else possibly? It runs good and sounds ****!

wont hurt a damn thing. it will only help. depending on where you live,(elevation) you might need to fatten up your jetting. but you can probably do what you need to by adjusting the needle clip in the carb down a notch. you should get a free flowing air filter while your at it. the 500's really like it when they can breathe.

it's efi so no need tomonkey w/ jetting, I live in wisconsin so that's fine too, And have a k&n filter. The bike really came to life, I am really happy The only thing is it's so loud it almost rattles your brain loose. Was thinking of checking into repacking or the hotseat pipe! Loud pipes save lives but don't want to help close trails either.
