I just bought a 99 warrior for $700. The gut said it dont run, but it did run. I got it home changed the oil, oil filter, plug, cleaned the carb. But when i hit the start button it makes a knocking noise. After a about 4 revolutions it fires, and i let of the start button it runs fine. But then when i go to shut it off it knocks one time. I have a little idea about 4 wheelers but does that sound like the flywheel clutch or not. Let me know what you think it is Thanks guys

knocking while turning over im not sure, but I recently bought a 93 warrior and when I shut mine off it makes one knock, I asked on here about it and was told it is normal with the warrior, mine runs fine, it is stock, and hauling *** around the trails behind my house it runs great, good luck and let us know what you find out.

yea that noise is the one way starter clutch almost all warriors make that sound when you shut it off, it just sounds like you have maybe a worn starter and a worn one way starter clutch.
