warrior advice
#2
im a new owner of a 93 warrior, never owned a quad before but it is a fun quad,
the only thing that I guess bothers me is the cost of replacement parts, I have built two mud bogging trucks, and got out of that scene because of the price of gas, bought a quad thinking uses less gas, there isnt much to em, but damn,
parts for the quad are twice as much as parts for the trucks, but my oppinion the warrior is a good/great quad and now im into it with some money so it isnt going anywhere.

The worst thing about the Warriors are their front-end bushings and ball joints. They wear out fast and the ball joints expensive to replace. If a Warrior looks like it's been beat and not had any maintenance done, it's a good chance all of the bearings and ball joints need replacing. The way I like to check them is to turn the gas off and stand the bike up on it's wheelie bar. Then wiggle each wheel up/down/left/right and look for looseness in all of the joints. You can also rock the bike back and forth to check for looseness in the swingarm bearings while it's on it's back wheels. Also check the upper motor mounts. They always break, I wouldn't let it stop me from buying a Warrior, but it could be a negotiating factor when it comes time to buy.
