Wondering if anyone found that adjusting the handle bars forward helped.

I also wonder if anyone has mounted the Mad dog Pro #707. The advertisement mentioned: "Semi-rigid adjustable insert bends to custom fit and then retains its shape during use" but I couldnt see from the package how it was adjusted, or what the insert was made of.

I've seen them on other's machines, but never really looked close.

Honda's grips are a bit hard for my taste, so you might consider upgrading those. Some maier handguards might also block the cold air, which helps me anyway...

I have heard this before at the parts counter of the local dealer, but its not for me. I guess he was trying to make light of the fact that he didnt order the model I wanted.

The more you ride the less his thumb hurts...... what also helps a lot is to buy one of those therapy ***** made of foam or sand, and work out your thumb real hard.....Eventually the muscles will get rock hard around your thumb and you will be able to ride for hours with no pain........ My thumb used to hurt every spring when I started riding, but since I plow with my ATV now too, I'm on one all year around and my thumb never hurts anymore.....Just like any other muscle in the body it will adjust eventually if you work it.

I've also found varying thumb position (using the midddle of the thumb vs the end) also helps me. If it is at all cool out, insulated gauntlet gloves that cover the wrists really helps for me, too.

Loosen' the screws on the throttle assemble and move it to different positions till you find one that soots you. Also you can loosen' the handle bar clamp and re-positions the handle bars further forwards or back. I like my throttle kinda in the tilted down position (titled under alittle), my wife likes her's titled more upwards so she can sometimes get the palm of her hand on it. I like my bars more unright, she preferrs more back and down. Experiment alittle and I am sure you will find a comfortable position for both. I am also going to try and figure out a way to raise my handle bars an inch or so this spring for a more comfortable standing position if I can find enough slack in the cables to do so. Would really like to go 2 inches in height, but I dought the cables will allow that much.
