Big Bear 350 rear brake question
#1
I replaced the rotor and brake pads and now have loud brake squeel when the foot brake is depressed. I tried NAPA anti-squeel which did not help. I bought the rotor and pads from the dealer. The dealer said ceramic pads 'may' help or to get a product called BG anti-squeel which 'may' help. I have be unable to find it. I did not have this problem with the old parts so why am I having this problem with new parts? I have a service manual and have adjusted the brakes per the manual. Any suggestions? Thanks, Tom/Idaho

Tom,
I had brake squeal also on my 350 Bigbear 4x4 1988. What I did to solve it was lightly sand the rear disc with emory cloth I think it was 300 grit , anyway it was very fine grit and after that the squeal was gone maybe I just got lucky but I used cheap pads off evil bay . not sure if the pads put something on the disc but now everything is fine
