99 Yamaha kodiak 400, winch is weak and wen i go in water dash light die out and battery always need to be charged
i have a kodiak 400 and evertime i go mud riding the dash lights die out and winch is weak like crazy , before everything was good until i went in water with it..... do you think theres a problem with the cdi box.....

Had similar issue and killed two batteries before finding out that the winch had rusted on the inside and was draining the battery. Removed winch and have had no problems since.
