Default 05 foreman 500 starting issues. (RESEARCHED!) Please help

Okay so here is the deal, yestersay my Foreman was running like a 'bute. I went to change the oil early this morning and now it wont start. Oil level is correct, It has spark at the plug, Took the carb apart and cleaned it. Drained the fuel tank and put fresh gas in it, checked all my grounding points, tHe kill switch is in run mode. When turning it over it tries to fire and sounds like it normaly does but as soon as u let off the starter button it fires over one more stroke and dies out. I've never had a problem with this thing and this is just a sudden problem. I know its prolly something simple so help me out with ideas. The bike is an ES if that matters. I did get it to start up once, it ran for about 10 secs (seemed to be running rich too) and it just died out and started doing this all over again. I was riding in some flooded roads yesterday helping neighbors out with the flooded river(In biloxi) but it was running fine. My bike is snorkeled and all the vents are ran up to the snorkel. It does sound like something is wet tho from the way it tries to start but it just won. HELP! I'm thinking maybe for some reason it sparks the first few strokkes and quits? I dunno im lost. If it started after mud/water riding, I'd bet you do have water in a connector somewhere. You might consider pulling fenders off, and taking every electrical connector apart. Spray with contact cleaner and blow out with an air compressor as needed, pack with diaelectric grease, and reassemble.

I think it is the pick up coil but I need to know how to test it.
