Default Transmission and Differential fluid filling

Gents: What is the easiest, cleanest and most accepted way to refill these units (trans and diffs)? I've used surgical tubing on a small funnel in the past to get the tube down around the 90 degree fill holes, but not sure if that's the most efficient. Hoping for some input / other ideas.

Oh yeah, does anybody know what the similar transmission oil is to the Polaris fluid? Does Redline or Amsoil make an alternative? The manual just says something lame, like "Polaris transmission fluid"

I use a big seringe that they use for feeding tubes in nurseing homes you may be able to get somthing at a auto parts store , or maybe a turkey baister . As far as the fluid goes , like the old po tech says you paid alot of $$ for your machine spend that little extra for polairs fluids and be safe , I know its expensive but the other syntec stuff is almost as much.

I use the same funnel and hose method, I would use polaris oils, IMO it's just cheap insurance

Thinking there's a lot better than Polaris fluids and just hoping it was easy to figure out exactly what it is. Don't care much about the extra $2 a quart. Figure I'll end up with Polaris because there's no way to identify it without a professional analysis of some kind.

I use a AMSOIL Hand Pump For Bottles bought two have one for the tranny( rear ) fluid and one for the front diff fluid . They work with the Polaris bottles you just pump the handle no mess works great . And having two I don't waste time cleaning out the hose when I switch between the two fluids .

I use snowmobile synthetic chain case oil in the ATV tranny, since the sled chain case does the same job as the ATV tranny and both have a large chain with cogs inside them.

Also all chain case oils say "For ATV and Snowmobiles".

Default Amsoil bottle pump

I also use the AMSOIL bottle pump works excellent. Also AMSOIL 2000 chaincase lube for the tranny. I stick with the Polaris Demand Drive for the front Hub just to be safe. Also for the front Hub I used a meat injector to fill it works perfect! Ken Kinsey Atlanta Mich.

Same here... AMSOIL 2000 Chaincase lube in the Trani, AMSOIL 0W-40 in the engine, and the Polaris LT fluid in the front diff.

Everything sounds smooth, and works well.

The last fluid change kit that I bought had a screw-on spout like you would see on a gear oil bottle. I added about six inches of 1/4" ID Tygon tubing. Worked like a champ!
