Are you using a aftermarket belt?

You may need a clutch alignment. Some ATV and sleds just come off the production line set up wrong.

Ditto on checking the clutch/alignment. Don't use anything other than Polaris belts. Tried a heavy duty aftermarket one once and it didn't even last 100 miles before self destructing. The Polaris belts are well worth the extra $.

You need a clutch alignment tool and maybe shims, maybe just get a shop, any shop to do it, not just a Polaris dealer if there not convenient. CVT all aligned the same way.

A sign of drastic misalignment to which you’ll observe black ring colors down at the bottom of the primary on one sheave or another or both sheaves.
