2000 Magnum 325 Knock

Hey all,

I got a 00 325 Magnum with a knock, The strange part is that it only knocks above idle and is weak. The wheeler would idol all day and sound good but as soon as you touch the throttle it knocks... Anything common on these?

They are a loud motor but check the primary clutch buttons for play

My 500 knocks at idle from the water pump ,but it disappears above idle.

I'll check the clutch... This is a loud knock though, it makes you think the engine is going to go...

the 325s did have a rod bearing issue

Do you have a stehescope? You can use a large screw-driver, place the tip on the engine and the handle at your ear and maybe you can pinpoint the area the knock is coming from, hopefully the crank bearings arent bad and the pistons not hitting the head.
