Default 2002 Polaris Sportsman 700 Clutch Kit?

A newbie here. Just bought a 2002 sportsman 700 and got it delivered last night. (Easter) I want to put in a clutch kit. I trail ride, light mudding,light-mid pulling, slow rock crawling. Bone stock machine, stock tires, 750 foot elevation. Whos clutch kit do you recommend? Reading about Dalton,Speedwerx,EPI,Straight Line Performance,Bikeman... Any other suggestions for this model? Thanks

Thumbs up Clutch kit = HeelClicker

I like the HC kit the best adjustable weights.. You might want to get a 2006 or newer Primary clutch and Team roller secondaryon the POPO 700 & 800's. Gearing a lot lower....

This is what i want to know about. The likes and dislikes. This is my first quad in over 20 years. Actually my first utility. I am into sleds. I am looking for that low end throttle response. Better belt grip in the slow hard tire turning situations. Kinda like being in the right gear all the time. Like fast backshifts also. I will sacrifice a few mph off the top.

Also does anyone have any experience with the dyno jet kits and K&N air filters? I know the sleds will run alot better with proper clutching and jetting. I would think the same rule applies on a quad. Thanks

Heelclicker or the Dirty Dawg Performance kit. The best 2 you can buy.

well he^^^^ is the king on the 700 mods for sure. but for having a heelclicker on a sp. 450 and an 800 they arent worth the money for the gains for get. im not going to get into a big debate about this as like i mentioned, their is alot of views out there. if perforcemance is what you want, then sp70003 is your man for sure.

Default Clutch

I had an EPI big tire kit in my 05 800 and it rocked. Also ran K&N, Aaen pipe, 6" Gorilla lift, and Outlaw 29.5" tires and it would pull the front end right up. I would definitely clutch and add a K&N but caution re-jetting if your machine runs good where you are. Jetting will give you a boost(if dialed in) but then you will have to deal with your ride being more sensitive to temp changes and such. I had an 02 700 and ran K&N, 2" lift, and bigger tires with no issues.

Anyone have any experience with the Team Industries stage 2 kit? It comes with the roller secondary. I know the roller clutches are great. Just never tried one on the atv's yet. I have rode the new Sportsmans that have them and i think they are real smooth. I am kinda leaning this way. Hopefully some feedback will follow.

Heres a good setup.

Newer ebs primary off an 05 and up 800
Team roller secondary off an 800
Dirty Dawg performance clutch kit
3211118 belt
Dalton orange/blue primary spring (if you like alittle higher engagement)
