Default Installing Polars HD Front Springs

I bought a pair of HD Polaris front springs and will be installing them this weekend on a 2006 700.
Do you need a spring compressor to install these and if anyone has any tips on the procedure, please let me know.

Thanks,
Machster

Ratchet straps work in a pinch.

If you have access to some steel and a welder, I can give you directions on how to make one like highlifter sells

I didn't need a compressor for the front, only the rear. Take the front cargo box off and unbolt the struts.....easy and self explanatory. Unless your 06 700 is different than my 07 800, you should only need a compressor for the rear springs.

Default Springs

Save yourself time and heartache. Pick up a set of spring compresors. You can get them reasonable at any auto parts store and even cheaper on eBay. As long as you own a wheeler and do your own maintenance they will pay for themselves ten-fold!

I did not need to use compressors with the Polaris HD Springs on my quad. Check out this thread

actually when we added spacers to ours we just put a jack under the wheel and compressed it into the strut mount far enough to put the nut on it and then let it back down and tightend up the nut and added hardware

Nice write up 5J's. I too did both mine with no compressor, piece of cake. It sure handles nicer with the HD's up front.
