Stator On 2002 500 Scrambler

The quad got swamped now i have no spark! Does any one know how to check the stator to see if it is bad?

If the pull starter handle was on tight the stator can not get wet even if the atv was on the bottom of a lake. look at other things before the $300 stator.

stater 500 scrambler

There was water in side the casing!!!

And i Dryed it out with a blow dryer and Cleaned it up with a clean rag!!!

How do you check the Stator?????
