88 polaris 250 4x

Question 88 polaris 250 4x

I am working on my old 88 trailboss ,wondered if anyone knows the correct oil for the front hubs. what i drained out looked like 30 weight

not for certain on an 88, but my 92 uses polaris hub oil or ford transmission oil. i used the ford tranny oil. it might have gotten hot and turned color. call your dealer, they can tell you for certain. my bet is the tranny fluid will work.

Either use Polaris hub fluid or type F trans fluid.Anything else wont lube and let the hubs work correctly
