Default New Bike buyer

I have just joined this forum. I am looking to buy my first bike at age 50. I am looking at a small financial commitment so I am looking to buy a 1994 Polaris Magnum 425 from an acquaintence. My problem is when I go online to search for info on this bike, the first available Magnum 425 seems to be a 1995. Can anybody out there help me?

I am going to request the VIN from the seller and try to confirm. I was trying to find out the specs on this ATV. I am looking to use the Magnum to tow jet skis to and from a lake with a concrete landing, about a 45 degree incline. The jet skis will not weigh more than 800 lbs. Will the Magnum handle this?

Thanks for the answer! Are there any known issues with this bike? Do you have any idea what a fair market value would be for it. It has 1750 miles.

i am guessing it would have to be an 95' since that was the first year by the looks.

I'm no expert but I'd say $800 - $1,000 would be a killer deal considering the low mileage and about $2,000 is the max I would pay for it. JMHO

The biggest motor Polaris had in a ATV in 94 was there 400 2 stroke.
