I recently purchased my first ATV, mainly for working around the yard, woods and plowing in the winter. I was looking for a Sportsman 500 but ended up with the 800. I am adding a Moose 60" County Plow and a winch. My driveway is only about 600 ft long but we get awful lake effect snow which gets a little nuts.

I want to add plow lights to my machine (I work swings so I could be plowing any time day or night and want to see and be seen). I have checked out the Moose light mount but I'm not convinced it will fit the bill.

Any recommendations for mounting lights for plowing? I don't want to overburden my electrical system.

What are thoughts on chains??

For bright lights without loading the system might want to check out the hi intensity led lights.

In 10 years of plowing I have only had 1 instance where chains would have helped. It was one of those thaw / rain / snow times. Just took smaller bite.
