Ditto on the pump seal, needs to be replaced cause the water will eventually mess up the stator or other elctronics on that side.

Question

This is the 500 four stroke HO. I know the water pump is behind the flywheel on the 400 2 cycle I know this because I did one. Is the water pump in the same place on the 500? It looks to be on the outside of the pull starter cover. Is the 500 behind the flywheel?
