Front differential compatability thru years

Front differential compatability thru years
What's the difference between the earlier model 1341344 front gear case as found in 2003 and a newer model 1332428 found in 2005? They look the same in pictures. Would the 1341344 be usable in the newer bike?

good question as i see the 1341344 will work in the 03' 330 up to the 700 until 04', and the other number goes from 05-06' from the 330 up to the 800. i assumed they all basicly the same except for the adc models.
