how to do a oil change on a 01 sportsman 500??

Default how to do a oil change on a 01 sportsman 500??

hey guy i have a 01 sportsman 500 and i am wondering can someone here please tell me how to change the oil on this quad? i know how to change it but not clue about a swamp pump ?? or something like that. can someone tell me how to get the oil out of the engine.

just to do a basic oil change by removing the drain plug in the oil tank and the drain plug in the bottom of the engine. you may get a cup of oil out of the engine.

The engine drain plug is underneath on the right side.

You could also do a search on here your get tons of info type in oil change .

Stick with a full synthetic 0w-40 or Polaris new 2w-50, it makes the cams last for thousands of miles.

Show me a cam lobe problem and I will show you a guy who got a case of 10w-30 conventional on sale somewhere. LOL
