Question Anybody know alot about our warranty?

I've got an 08 Sportsman 500 Touring and have about 52 miles on it now. I got the nice polished wheels and already the clearcoat has begun to peel off bad on 2 wheels. I called the dealership I got it from on Friday and they said they were going to get back to me that afternoon. No phonecall so I thought I would ask on here. Thanks in advance. Long time reader, new poster, I love the site

I would bet they will tell you to pound sand, it's cosmetic, and will not weaken the wheel. I'm not saying you don't have a right to be ****ed, but they will say it's just normal wear and tear. I hope you get helped out, but I wouldn't count on it. As much as I enjoy my Touring's, Polaris is not known for good customer service.

Yeah, reno's right, but you will surely find out how much your dealer does or does not care about you! LOL! Good luck!

I love the machine so far, a defenite upgrade from my little Rancher I use to have. Honda was good to me whenever I had problems. I work in a paint shop so if worse comes to worse I'll powdercoat them black to match the stealth black one I have now. Thanks for the input though, that Popo on tracks is awesome, I wanted a set when I ordered my ATV but couldnt afford to boot the extra money.

A guy at work last year had the newer Artic Cat (copper color) and his alloy wheels were having issues with the coatings......They changed them out no problem for him........
I forgot to tell you he bought a $23,000 dollar travel trailer from the same dealer also..at the same time.........LOL....customer service depends how much money you spend there also I think......

I had over and above service at my Polaris dealer...even had e-mails returned on week-ends to help me trouble-shoot!!
I did spend over $16,000 Canadian and bought two Sportsman's from him at the same time......I sure this helps when issues come up..
What do you think?
......Caper..........

I think your right, caper. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars over the last decade here locally at the "toy" shops. They treat me very well, much better than a lot of my buddies. They know I will buy from them again and again. It goes without saying. It doesn't necessarily make it right, but it's the way it is.

I had the black powder coated ITP wheels on my rhino. They scratched right away. I didn't bother with trying to "warranty" them. I just figured it's normal wear and tear. I don't think I would buy black powder coated rims again because they scratch so easily.
I wonder what everyone else thinks about their powder coated rims? I know the ones on my trucks have held up great, but then again, I don't take them the same places I take my atv's! LOL!

Speaking of warranty, I never received my Polaris warranty card in the mail for my Sportsman 850 XP. It was registered with Polaris sometime in January.

I have the same bike as you and same rims....I've been fighting with Polaris about the coating coming off since last Sept. So far no luck, so I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you unfortunately. They made me do the picture thing to....but still no luck...taken it in for 2 or 3 sets of pictures even.
