bleeding rear break procedure

Default bleeding rear break procedure

Can someone tell me the best way to bleed the rear brake (foot peddle)??????

Which ATV is this on??? Most rear brake pedals are for a manual brake, not a hydraulic brake. They are darn near worthless so I generally remove them from my ATV's. If you are bleeding the rear hydraulic brake, you need to pump the brake lever on the handle bar.

sassee,the newer models do have hydraulic brakes for the foot peddle and surprisingly mine has been working pretty good on my 08 700, but as far as my 02 500, i did as you said and took the brake off completely 6 yrs ago,they're worthless. As far as bleeding it i would think its done the same as any other brake system. Slowly push the peddle while loosening the bleeder screw then tightening it back up before your foot gets to the floor. Repeat till all the air bubbles are out or the fluid stops sputtering. refill the reservoir under the seat(that's where mine is). This is assuming it has a bleeder screw, i have'nt looked.
