The sportsman will go into four wheel drive at certain times when the switch is on and then at other times it will not go into four wheel drive when the switch is on. I have replaced the magnetic plates, hub clutches, bearings, on both sides and cleaned all the connections i can find that deals with the four wheel drive does annybody have any idea why it wont constantly stay in four wheel drive?

 

the back wheeles have to spin 1/5 of a turn before the awd will kick in. the awd system will turn off at a high speed. i dont know if you knew this or not.

 

Nope sure didnt I knew they had to turn a little but i didnt know how far. The Atv will still not go into awd for say in the creek when you need it and then in a few minutes it may go right into awd and it would not have any problems

 

does it still have power going to it when the awd goes out? just wondering if maybe the switch is loosing power/bad connection? you must have new hub fluid in it as well since you changed all the parts.

 

Not for sure i have checked all the conections from the switch to the hubs but where does the power to the switch come from?
